Gloranthan songs: Land of my Fathers

That's right, the Welsh national anthem. Loosely based on the ranslation by J. Owen. This is the "improved" version that we sang at Continuum 2012.

The land of my fathers is dear unto me
The land of the poets, the land of the free
Her fyrdmen, brave heroes, her warriors well led
For freedom their life's blood have shed

(chorus)
Sar-tar, plighted am I to thee
And while the air
Blows thro' valleys so fair
So long may our homeland stay free

Old land of the mountains, the bard's paradise
Thy peaks and thy valleys are fair to my eyes
Amongst thy sweet rivers that always run free
My homeland forever shall be.

(chorus)

Though enemy came here and ravens have fed
We will not cease fighting till they are all fled
We will not surrender, though battered and scarred
No evil can silence a bard!

(chorus)
